02 / Warranty Service

How Warranty Service Works

Warranty service is coordinated through our facility in Longwood, Florida. We start with the fastest practical path: remote troubleshooting first, then an RMA, depot repair, or remote-assisted support when needed.

01

Call or Email

Tell us what is happening. Have your serial and invoice number ready.

02

We Diagnose

Our service team troubleshoots with you remotely — phone, email, or video.

03

Get an RMA

If the unit needs to come in, we issue a return authorization number.

04

We Fix & Return

For covered repairs, we service the instrument and return it by standard ground carrier.

Two Ways We Handle It

Standard Path

Ship-Back Repair

You send the instrument or component to AMP Tech under the RMA. You handle inbound shipping; for covered repairs, we cover standard ground return shipping after service is complete.

When Applicable

Remote-Assisted Part Swap

For certain covered issues, we may send a replacement part and guide your team through the swap by phone or video.

Packaging matters. Use the original packaging when possible. Strong packaging helps prevent shipping damage and keeps service moving.
We carefully package every outbound shipment — and ask that you do the same for returns.
03 / Remedy

If It's Covered, Here's What We Do

For covered issues, our service team determines the right path: repair the instrument or replace it with a refurbished equivalent. Parts repaired or replaced during the warranty period are covered for the greater of the remaining warranty or 30 days.

Repair

We diagnose the issue, complete the covered repair at our facility, and return the instrument to you.

Replace

If repair is not the best path, we provide a refurbished equivalent at no additional cost.

Good to know: If our diagnosis shows the issue is outside warranty coverage, we will explain what we found and provide the available service options before any billable repair work begins.
04 / Coverage Boundaries

Built for Normal Use, Supported by a Clear Process

Warranty coverage focuses on issues tied to the instrument itself: defects in materials, workmanship, or covered components that show up during normal operation. Proper installation, maintenance, utilities, and handling help keep the process clear and the instrument protected.

Normal Operating Conditions

Use the instrument in the environment, configuration, and application range the manufacturer specifies.

Proper Utilities

Stable power, ventilation, gas supply, vacuum, water, chillers, and related utilities help prevent avoidable service issues.

Routine Maintenance

Follow manufacturer-recommended maintenance and keep consumables, wear items, and service intervals current.

Authorized Service Path

Contact AMP Tech before repairs, modifications, part swaps, or third-party service during the warranty period so we can guide the right next step.
